financePlanning the Budget – 2016 Savings !

Looking forward to saving this year? WHOOH! Let’s make this the best savings year yet! In order to do that you need to know where you are and where you are going!

The first thing you need to do is figure out what level of money control you have if any lol Which method do you need to save in 2016! Here are some questions you should ask yourself; be honest with your responses as the only person you’ll be letting down is yourself if you aren’t realistic with your ability to handle money.

  • Can your type up or write down your budget and stick to it? If so you may be ok with simply a budget outline to keep you in line for your goals 🙂
  • Do you find it more helpful to write down your budget and divide your money into envelopes or jars to help you keep it straight throughout the month?
  • Could you benefit from a more structure method using gift cards to keep you on track?

This was originally written in 2015 but I just updated a few things. Using these methods are successful and can be used for any income. Even if you are on a fixed income, purchasing a $10 grocery gift card a month can make December a lot less stressful.

Choose the method or methods that work for you! Here is a great budget form that covers all your expenses!

  1. I don’t have a hard time staying on budget most of the time, but I like the giftcard idea because you get extra points that way too. I haven’t tried it yet for regular purchases, but will be now! Thanks!
