My picture drew lots of questions so here is some help to grab deals like this 🙂
First why do I purchase items from Hong Kong, China, etc. These are products that are manufactured over there for distribution through the world often with another label slapped on it for a MUCH Higher Price! Due to US currency being the international currency of business these offers are found on ebay.com (not .ca)
Why are they so cheap? To you and I they seem super cheap as we live in a more “retail” based society with very different culture. If you truly know what it cost to make these it would make you sick compared to what we pay with a fancy label on it over here. The seller probably made more money on this sale than he did working for a week.
How much does a bottle of nail glue cost at your pharmacy? Who gets it from the “wholesaler” who has contact with the distributors who gets it from the owners of the company from the manufacturing plant in HONG KONG!
Your just skipping the middle man and his neighbor and his cousin 🙂
If you are not comfortable with looking on Ebay, here are some tips and things to look for 🙂
On the next page will show the results; I look to the left and choose a more specific are to narrow my search 🙂
Towards the top right is a drop down menu I choose Price + Shopping lowest first 🙂
I look for Hong Kong or China ~ I prefer Hong Kong !
Click on the title and it will open up the listing 🙂
I can click on see other items by seller if I see great deals 🙂
Other items I have found SUPER deals on Ebay.com:
- Phone cases & accessories
- Pet grooming tools
- Video game accessories
- Batteries and Battery Chargers
- Novelty items such as Hello Kitty Clocks, keychain cameras,
Even if a seller charges a shipping fee, always check the listing as many offer combined shipping. Example $1 for the first item and $0.10 for each additional. I have shopped on Ebay for over 10 years; I must say out of the hundreds of dollars I have spent on various things over the years, I can say as far as loosing money/getting ripped off. Over 10 years “maybe” a total of $50 with the most at one time was a $13 purchase.
